Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Sykloni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sykloni comes to the cage accompanied by David Arkenstone - Carrickfergus. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sami Sykloni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dew Rain!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sykloni defends it nicely.
Rain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sykloni tries to avoid it but Rain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sykloni to the ground. Sykloni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rain.
Sami Sykloni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dew Rain.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sykloni, right into the meat.
Rain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sykloni is fending him off so far but Rain persists. Nope, Sykloni circles away and we're back to standing.
Rain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rain shoots in but Sykloni avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rain takes one on the button.

Rain takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sykloni throws a sloppy head kick and Rain moves out of range easily.
Rain fails to land the takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sykloni throws a good cross that connects.

Dew Rain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sykloni.
It looks like Dew Rain has been cut.
Sykloni connects with a leg kick. Rain looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sykloni goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sykloni scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rain stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sykloni.
Rain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rain is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sykloni is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rain.
Rain fails with a takedown attempt.
Sami Sykloni is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sykloni.
Rain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sykloni scores with a hook.
Sykloni lands a slapping body shot.
Sykloni throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rain has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sykloni.
Good exchange - Sykloni coming out on top.
Sykloni drops Rain with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rain looks back up at him and smiles so Sykloni waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rain is rocked!
Rain walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Sykloni swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sami Sykloni!
Sami Sykloni was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
