PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Braylon Beswicke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beswicke comes to the cage accompanied by Kick in the teeth. Raine has chosen Slaughter - Billy Preston as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aldo Raine!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beswicke connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


It looks like Aldo Raine has been cut.
Raine lands a nice looking body shot.
Braylon Beswicke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raine misses with a body kick.
Beswicke lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Raine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Raine takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Raine throws a jab but it's blocked by Beswicke.
Raine cracks the inside of Beswicke's front leg.
Raine takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Beswicke tries to bum rush Raine with a series of wild strikes but Raine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Beswicke fakes the leg kick and cracks Raine in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Raine makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Raine takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Beswicke stuns Raine with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and Raine finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Good leg kick by Beswicke there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Beswicke throws a shot from downtown. Raine moves away and avoids it.
Raine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Beswicke tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Raine counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Raine misses with a low kick as Beswicke jumps back.
Beswicke connects with a solid leg kick.
Beswicke on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Beswicke connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Raine circles away from the clinch attempt
and Raine counters with a thumping low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Raine throws a sloppy head kick and Beswicke moves out of range easily.

Beswicke is looking to wear down Raine with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Beswicke ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Raine moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Raine has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Beswicke.
Raine throws a shot from downtown. Beswicke moves away and avoids it.

Raine sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Raine is breathing heavily.
Beswicke bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Raine's head backwards.
Beswicke lands the left hand.


That has opened up Aldo Raine's cut even more.
Raine bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Beswicke lands with a hook. Raine tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Raine paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Beswicke catches Raine with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A right-left combo lands from Beswicke.


Raine is rocked!


The cut above Aldo Raine's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Raine walks straight into a right hand from Beswicke - that's dropped him! Beswicke jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Raine from any more punishment! Raine complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Braylon Beswicke!
Braylon Beswicke really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that $10 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
