The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mihattovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Mihattovic uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gay.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mihattovic.
Gay thuds a left hand into Mihattovic's body.
Mihattovic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mihattovic was well out of range. Poor timing from Gay.
Mihattovic connects with an inside leg kick.
Mihattovic darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mihattovic's corner calls for a 1-2. Mihattovic obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gay takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gay blocks a low kick nicely.
Mihattovic connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gay's hands.

Gay thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gay displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mihattovic throws out the jab.
Gay jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mihattovic forces Gay back against the cage and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Gay has had enough of the clinch but Mihattovic keeps him there for the moment.
Gay takes a shot to the head.
Gay tries to pull guard but Mihattovic won't allow it.
Gay is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mihattovic is keeping busy.

Mihattovic lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gay backwards.

Mihattovic lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Gay to his knees! Mihattovic keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
