Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitka Boycheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boycheck comes to the cage accompanied by Парус. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rodrigues's choice of entrance music: Joe Walsh - In the City. Jake Rodrigues has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boycheck dodges the punch combination from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues lands with a nice body punch.

and Boycheck decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodrigues's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Boycheck drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rodrigues looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rodrigues looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rodrigues!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rodrigues has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Boycheck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rodrigues is bucking up trying to escape but Boycheck cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Boycheck postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Rodrigues badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Boycheck around the waist but Boycheck pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Boycheck is the winner by TKO! Boycheck jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitka Boycheck!
Mitka Boycheck opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
