Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nanak Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stewie Dent!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singh clinches.
Singh throws a punch but it's blocked by Dent.
Singh gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dent.
Singh misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Singh is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Singh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Singh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dent looking to sit in guard and control but Singh gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dent is on top in guard.

Singh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Singh working for a triangle but Dent defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Singh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Singh is trying to control the position but Dent postures up.
Dent wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving.
Dent wanted to stand there but Singh had control of the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Singh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Singh takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Singh uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dent.

Dent steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Singh.
Singh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dent sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Dent tries to sprawl but Singh drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Singh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Singh is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dent has his hands clasped together around Singh's back. He's all about the action.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dent is looking to control Singh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dent avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nanak Singh will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Singh misses with a hook
letting Dent counter with a right hand.
Dent bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Singh throws a sloppy head kick and Dent moves out of range easily.
Dent keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Singh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dent swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Singh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Singh is looking to clinch but Dent is avoiding it.

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dent won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Dent's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Singh advances to mount.

Singh wants to control the pace but Dent is squirming around nicely.
Dent sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Dent is trying to control the position but Singh postures up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dent can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dent wants to hit a switch here but Singh passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dent there!

Dent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nanak Singh will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Singh doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Singh fails to land the takedown.
Dent throws a hook but Singh avoids it easily.
Singh takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Singh wants to clinch up but Dent keeps it at a distance.
Singh moves in looking to clinch but Dent pushes him off.

Dent has Singh up against the cage in a clinch.

Dent has hold of one of Singh's legs. Singh is fighting the takedown attempt but Dent gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Dent slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Nanak Singh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stewie Dent was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dent throws a hook to the side of Singh's head but Singh sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dent slips a straight right by Singh.
Singh misses with an uppercut
and Dent counters with a stiff right hand.
Dent keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Singh throws a head kick that misses.

Dent thows a body shot but no joy.
Dent throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Dent ducks under a wild hook from Singh.
Dent thuds his right hand into Singh's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Singh tries to clinch up but Dent circles away and keeps his distance.
Dent lands a head shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Singh looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dent controlling the position for now.
Singh is keen to just control but Dent is a slippery customer.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A big right from Dent misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Singh shoots in for a takedown but Dent shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dent takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nice straight punches there by Dent. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dent.
A punch lands to the side of Singh 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Singh walks into a straight right hand from Dent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dent. Singh does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dent throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Dent looks to score with a jab to the body but Singh is just out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dent looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Singh!
Stewie Dent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Singh gets back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Stewie Dent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Singh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
