Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sweaty Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Philco Hitachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Philco Hitachi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sweaty Mullins's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sweaty Mullins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Philco Hitachi!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitachi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hitachi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hitachi prevents Mullins from improving his position.
Mullins is looking to control Hitachi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mullins avoid being mounted?

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Sweaty Mullins will probably get the nod.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Hitachi.
Hitachi is looking to clinch but Mullins is avoiding it.

Mullins tightens his grip and picks Hitachi up, before dumping him to the ground. Hitachi manages to land in guard.

Mullins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hitachi is just riding it out for now. Mullins eventually gives up the hold.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
