The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sankari lands with a hook. Gambino tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Frankie Gambino has been cut.
Sankari lands a nice looking body shot.

Gambino throws a leg kick but Sankari checks it.
Sankari lunges at Gambino with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gambino's hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sankari stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gambino.
Sankari looks to land a left hand but Gambino moved out of range nicely.
Gambino connects with a solid leg kick.

and Gambino counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Sankari connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gambino's hands.

That has opened up Frankie Gambino's cut even more.
Sankari lands a jab to the head.
Gambino cracks the inside of Sankari's front leg.
Sankari misses with a lunging right hand
and Gambino counters with a series of strikes. Sankari will be more careful next time no doubt.

Sankari closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Gambino crashing to the mat! Gambino uses the cage to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Frankie Gambino's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frankie Gambino's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
