Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kamil Tomcik!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Georgios Geremek!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomcik displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Geremek throws out the jab.
Tomcik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Geremek moves out of range of the leg kick from Tomcik.

Geremek misses with an uppercut. Tomcik saw that one coming.
Georgios Geremek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Geremek throws out a loose jab but Tomcik uses good head movement to avoid it.

Tomcik closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Geremek quickly recovers to half guard.

Geremek is refusing to be controlled, as Tomcik sits in half guard.
Tomcik lands with a punch from half guard.
Geremek wants to get back to his feet.
Tomcik is trying to control the action in half guard but Geremek is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tomcik wants to free his trapped foot but Geremek is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tomcik throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Geremek is looking to improve his position.
Tomcik trying to control the action but Geremek is working from the bottom.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tomcik prevents Geremek from standing back up.

Geremek is not content to let Tomcik control the position.
Geremek is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tomcik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tomcik's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Geremek gets back to his feet - a bit of a stange decision given the position he was in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kamil Tomcik will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Tomcik lands with an uppercut that bounces Geremek off the cage and back into range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tomcik. Geremek does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tomcik takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Georgios Geremek seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tomcik lands with a straight right. Geremek didn't see that one coming.
Geremek looks to score with a jab to the body but Tomcik is just out of range.

and Tomcik counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A big right from Geremek misses.
Geremek lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Geremek throws an overhand right that lands on Tomcik's shoulder, as Tomcik tries to avoid the shot.
Tomcik lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tomcik.
Tomcik is looking to slow Geremek down with leg kicks.
A head kick from Geremek lands but Tomcik takes it in his stride.
Geremek digs a good body shot into Tomcik's ribs.
Tomcik throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
