Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Richard Callaghan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Headden!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callaghan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Callaghan misses the target.
Callaghan stuffs the takedown attempt from Headden. Headden gets slowly back to his feet.
Callaghan looks to land a combination. Headden sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Callaghan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Headden is out of range.

Headden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Callaghan tries to avoid it but Headden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Callaghan to the ground. Callaghan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Callaghan throws a lazy right hand but Headden sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Callaghan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callaghan wants it to stay on the feet.

Headden throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Callaghan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Headden is in Callaghan's guard.

Callaghan clobbers Headden with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Headden's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Callaghan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Headden scrambles back to his feet.
Callaghan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Headden checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Headden throws a hook to the side of Callaghan's head but Callaghan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Callaghan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Headden paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Steve Headden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Headden winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
