Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Dias!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Isaac Gil!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gil but Gil pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dias shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gil defends it nicely.
Dias circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dias shoots in looking for a takedown but Gil manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dias's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Dias. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carlos Dias has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Dias closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gil circles away.
Gil darts in trying to clinch
and Dias counters with a left and a right that stings Gil.

Gil moves into the clinch successfully.
Dias is trying to drag Gil to the mat but Gil just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gil prevents a takedown attempt there.

Gil is stalling here.
Gil lands a nice knee to the body.

It looks like Carlos Dias has been cut.
Dias is breathing heavily.
Gil is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Gil lands an elbow just above Dias 's eye.
Dias jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gil walks away with a smile on his face. Dias gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gil instigates a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Gil obliges.
Gil lands a nice knee to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gil lands a knee to the head.
Gil dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Gil obliges.
Gil lands an elbow that stopped Dias in his tracks for a moment.

Gil scores a nice knee to the body.
Gil crunches a lovely knee into Dias's ribcage.
Gil unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Gil manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isaac Gil dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Carlos Dias's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gil doesn't manage to clinch there - Dias circles away.
Gil fails with an attempt to clinch.

Gil moves into range and clinches up with Dias.
Isaac Gil seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Gil unloads a knee to the mid-section. Dias lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Dias drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dias has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gil avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gil crunches a lovely knee into Dias's ribcage.
Gil slows down the pace here.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Isaac Gil.

Gil closes the distance and clinches.
Gil dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
The crowd are getting on Gil's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Knees to the body from Gil.
Gil lands an elbow just above Dias 's eye.
The referee is keeping an eye on Gil - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gil unloads a knee to the mid-section. Dias lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gil lands a knee to the head.
Dias really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gil drops Dias with a big knee straight up the middle! Dias is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Dias is rocked!
Isaac Gil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gil instigates a clinch.
Oh Dias is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gil content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Clinched against the cage, Gil lands a big elbow that drops Dias! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Dias is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Isaac Gil!
