The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias feints and then cracks Pearmine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pearmine down.
Dias pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pearmine circles away from the clinch attempt.
A slapping body kick lands there for Dias.
Pearmine keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick from Dias lands but Pearmine takes it in his stride.

It looks like Shane Pearmine has been cut.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dias checks a leg kick.
Pearmine throws a body kick that misses.
Dias pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Pearmine lands a head kick!

It looks like Adolfo Dias has been cut.
Adolfo Dias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dias closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pearmine tries to pull guard but Dias forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Dias trying to control the position but instead, Pearmine has worked for underhooks and has pushed Dias into the cage.
Dias misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Pearmine.

Dias wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dias prevents a takedown attempt there.

Pearmine pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Dias is looking to stand up but Pearmine won't let him.
Pearmine is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Pearmine pushes Dias off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Dias stuffs the takedown.
