The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noriega looks to land a left hand but Paulsen moved out of range nicely.
Noriega scores with a takedown into Paulsen's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Paulsen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paulsen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Noriega doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Paulsen is tightening it up a little... Noriega has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Noriega reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Noriega taps out! Nice BJJ there by Paulsen!
