The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Hoiles throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hoiles looks to score with a jab to the body but Holcomb is just out of range.
Hoiles throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hoiles throws a lazy right hand but Holcomb sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hoiles connects with an inside leg kick.
Hoiles misses the shot to the body.
Hoiles throws a head kick but Holcomb moves out of range.
Hoiles tries to land a front kick but Holcomb steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Holcomb feints a jab promting Hoiles to slip. Holcomb then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hoiles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Hoiles throws the left hand but Holcomb avoids the punch easily.
Holcomb uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hoiles.
Holcomb slips a straight right by Hoiles.
Hoiles takes a swing at Holcomb's ribcage but misses.
Hoiles lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Harvey Holcomb has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hoiles takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Holcomb defending well as Hoiles loads up on a big left hand.
Holcomb fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hoiles works Holcomb's body with a nice hook.
Holcomb is breathing heavily.

Holcomb uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hoiles.
Mike Hoiles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hoiles throws a good cross that connects.
