Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Acadio Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocha's entrance music is Ninguém Regula a América - Rappa e Sepultura. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marc De Ertu!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Ertu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
De Ertu lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Rocha drives through with a takedown into De Ertu's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Rocha slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
De Ertu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

De Ertu changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rocha fights it off and pushes away nicely.

De Ertu is trying to stall.
De Ertu blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

De Ertu misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rocha.
Rocha can't get the takedown.
De Ertu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rocha just stands there and leans against the cage.

Rocha is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables De Ertu to keep the fight standing.

De Ertu drags the fight down to the ground.
De Ertu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Rocha gets to his feet - De Ertu follows without any prompting.
De Ertu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rocha circles away.
Acadio Rocha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc De Ertu.
De Ertu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
De Ertu wants to clinch.

Rocha moves into the clinch.
De Ertu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rocha is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rocha is trying to pull guard but De Ertu turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
De Ertu is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rocha is defending well.

Rocha jumps into guard, dragging De Ertu to the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rocha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and De Ertu defends well.
De Ertu wants to get up but he can't break Rocha's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rocha closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. De Ertu quickly recovers to half guard.
Rocha is trying to control. De Ertu wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now De Ertu is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rocha has an active guard here but De Ertu has managed to pass into half guard.

Rocha is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of De Ertu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take De Ertu's back!
De Ertu wants to control his opponent's hands but Rocha gets his hands free.

Rocha wants to control but De Ertu manages to buck him off and is now in Rocha's guard! Nice work there by De Ertu!

Rocha throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Ertu escapes and throws Rocha's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Ertu wants to stand but Rocha is controlling his arm.
Rocha tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but De Ertu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

De Ertu is looking to take a break and control but Rocha is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
De Ertu grinds an elbow into Rocha's temple.

De Ertu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rocha has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rocha is trying to control De Ertu's posture but De Ertu avoids it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Acadio Rocha will probably get the nod.

De Ertu tries to clinch there but Rocha circles away.

Rocha tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rocha has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rocha takes a little break here. De Ertu wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
De Ertu parries the strikes from Rocha easily there. Rocha is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable De Ertu to escape.

Rocha works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
De Ertu is not content to let Rocha control the position.
De Ertu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rocha throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
De Ertu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for De Ertu.
De Ertu trying to keep a closed guard but Rocha is proving a slippery customer.

De Ertu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
De Ertu has control of Rocha's left arm, preventing Rocha from doing any damage.
Rocha tries to free his leg and advance position but De Ertu is retaining full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De Ertu tries to land a sweep but no joy.

De Ertu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rocha throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
De Ertu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Rocha leaves De Ertu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from De Ertu enables Rocha to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. De Ertu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
De Ertu controls Rocha momentarily but Rocha frees himself.
Rocha loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rocha wants to control from the top but De Ertu keeps moving.
De Ertu is trying to control the position from the bottom.

De Ertu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rocha has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Acadio Rocha showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rocha, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
