Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Napoleon Bonaparte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Quaid checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Quaid staying out of range there.
Quaid blocks a head kick by Bonaparte.
Bonaparte throws a low kick but it's checked well by Quaid.
Bonaparte throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Quaid.
Bonaparte is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bonaparte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Quaid.

Bonaparte throws a chopping leg kick but Quaid manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Bonaparte feints and then cracks Quaid's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Quaid down.

and Quaid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bonaparte's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Quaid tries to free his leg and advance position but Bonaparte is retaining full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bonaparte holds on and takes a little breather.

Bonaparte bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quaid's guard.
Quaid wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bonaparte wanted to stand there but Quaid had control of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quaid is on top in guard.

Quaid looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bonaparte fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Quaid has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Quaid has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bonaparte finds it's way round the side to connect with Quaid's head.
Bonaparte takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Bonaparte tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Quaid shoots in looking for a takedown but Bonaparte manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Quaid's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bonaparte misses with a hook. Quaid ducked under it nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Quaid, as that shot connected.

Bonaparte doesn't manage to clinch there - Quaid circles away.

Quaid shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Quaid is pushing down on Bonaparte's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bonaparte is fighting to maintain full guard but Quaid has managed to sneak the leg through.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bonaparte pushes Quaid away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Quaid gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bonaparte tries to control Quaid's body but Quaid pushes him off. Bonaparte squirms to his side and now Quaid has his back!

Quaid lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Bonaparte hold on?!

Quaid is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Well, with Quaid on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Bonaparte is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Bonaparte turns into Quaid and is now in his guard.
Quaid is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bonaparte frees his head nicely. Oh but Quaid has switched to an armbar! Bonaparte is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
