The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with the takedown
enabling Tamatso to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tamatso counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tamatso.

Tsuyoshi Tamatso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxi Silva.

Tamatso throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Maxi Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva drops his hands for a split second and Tamatso immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Silva face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Tamatso follows up with a right hand that knocks Silva into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
