The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira looks to throw the jab but Banks is out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Banks blocks the leg kick.
Pereira misses with a low kick.
Sloppy strikes from Pereira. Those never looked like landing.
Pereira connects with a looping right hand.
Banks takes one to the side of the head.
Banks misses with a body shot.
Pereira chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Banks throws out a loose jab but Pereira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Banks keeps the fight on the outside.

Pereira tries to clinch there but Banks circles away.
Banks tries to score with a low kick but Pereira moves his leg out of the way.

Pereira lands a leg kick that knocks Banks off balance momentarily.

Pereira goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Pereira is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Banks looks to throw the jab but Pereira is out of range.
Banks lands with a good body shot.
Pereira tries a low kick but Banks avoids it.
Pereira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pereira throws a leg kick but Banks sees it coming and checks it nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Banks moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pereira scores with the left hand. Banks knows he should have avoided that one.
Pereira connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Banks is rocked!
Carlton Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banks bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Pereira comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Banks falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Banks was out before he hit the floor!
