Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker has chosen It's Amazing by Kanye West as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cain Slyker has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chad Griggs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slyker tries to bum rush Griggs with a series of wild strikes but Griggs uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Slyker throws a combination. Griggs tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Griggs tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slyker smiles and moves away.
Slyker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slyker has a takedown stuffed.
Griggs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slyker pinned against the cage. Slyker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Griggs shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slyker as he avoids it easily.
Slyker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Griggs tries to avoid it but Slyker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Griggs to the ground. Griggs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Slyker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griggs did well to prevent Slyker getting side control.

Griggs on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griggs tries to get out of the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Cain Slyker.
Well Slyker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
