The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grepplund feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Desper's calf.
Desper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grepplund tries to avoid it but Desper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grepplund to the ground. Grepplund escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Grepplund scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Desper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Grepplund tries to free his leg and advance position but Desper is retaining full guard.
