Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rick Ashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip McClelland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ashton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man. Rick Ashton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClelland tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ashton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McClelland gets caught napping as Ashton dives in and scores a takedown. McClelland manages to retain guard.

McClelland is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ashton is controlling him.
Ashton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McClelland swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ashton drops back, looking for a kneebar! McClelland looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McClelland looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McClelland!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You get the feeling that McClelland really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Ashton is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! McClelland is forced to tap! Great finish!
