Rogers comes into the arena with American Badass by Kid Rock blaring out of the sound system. Holden has chosen Act a Fool as his entrance music. Judge Holden acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers tried to score with a low kick but Holden checks it.
Rogers throws out a powerful jab.
Rogers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Holden fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rogers tries to land a front kick but Holden steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Holden misses with a wild body shot.
Holden slips a jab and a cross from Rogers.
Holden scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rogers in his tracks.
Holden dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Holden's head and hops out.

and Holden counters with a series of strikes. Rogers will be more careful next time no doubt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holden dives in and grabs Rogers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rogers pushes down on Holden's head and hops out.
Holden throws the left hand but Rogers avoids the punch easily.
Holden throws out a loose jab but Rogers uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rogers wants to slow Holden down by chopping away at his legs.
Sloppy strikes from Rogers. Those never looked like landing.

Holden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Holden. Rogers does a little dance to reset his feet.
