The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurcina stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Singh has a takedown stuffed.
Vitali Jurcina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jurcina throws a sloppy body shot

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Singh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jurcina dives on top into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jurcina stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Singh swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Singh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jurcina gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
