Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Dominquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Permitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominquez comes to the cage accompanied by Boom!. Nick Dominquez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominquez has his takedown stuffed

and Permitis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Dominquez working for a triangle but Permitis defends it easily.
Permitis trying to control the position from guard on top but Dominquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dominquez wants to sweep but no luck.

Permitis stands up from Dominquez's guard - Permitis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Dominquez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Permitis counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Permitis is trying to work for a kimura but Dominquez is defending well.
Permitis is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dominquez!
Dominquez is trying desperately to improve position.

Permitis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dominquez's face.

Permitis gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Permitis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Permitis lands in his opponent's guard.

Dominquez is rocked!

Permitis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Permitis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dominquez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dominquez tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Permitis slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Dominquez.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dominquez is looking to improve his position.

Permitis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Permitis is working for a submission of some sort.

Dominquez is defending against the submission attempts here by Permitis.

Dominquez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Permitis pulls his head out easily.

Permitis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dominquez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Permitis.

Permitis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dominquez!

Permitis swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Dominquez is now in Permitis's guard. A big mistake from Permitis there, giving up the dominant position!

Permitis is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dominquez rolls with it to try and escape but Permitis cranks on the arm and Dominquez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
