Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vin Sear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Markman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vin Sear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rory Markman!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sear tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Markman looks for a takedown but Sear sprawls well.
The fighters circle momentarily. Sear darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sear lands a nice shot to the body.

Sear moves into the clinch.
Sear lands a damaging elbow.


It looks like Rory Markman has been cut.
Markman avoiding damage as Sear throws knees to the body.

Markman is trying to trip Sear. He has hold of a leg but Sear is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Markman persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Markman landing with the ground and pound.
Markman wants to control from the top but Sear keeps moving.
Markman with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Markman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Markman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Markman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Markman wants to control from the top but Sear keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rory Markman wasn't active enough on the ground.

Markman fails with the takedown.
Vin Sear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Markman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sear.
Markman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vin Sear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Markman.
Markman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sear sprawls well. Sear wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Markman gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck for Markman with that takedown attempt.
Markman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sear pinned against the cage. Sear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sear tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Markman fails with a takedown attempt.
Markman shoots for a takedown but Sear saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Markman is defended easily by Sear.
Sear tries to clinch up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Markman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sear counters with a right hand to the body.
Markman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Markman fails with a takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rory Markman dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rory Markman's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Markman moves out of range of the leg kick from Sear.
Markman misses with a takedown attempt - Sear sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sear swings for the body but Markman moves out of range.
Sear fails with an attempt to clinch.
No luck for Markman with that takedown attempt.
Sear throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Markman dives in and grabs Sear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sear pushes down on Markman's head and hops out.
Vin Sear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Markman.
Markman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sear swivels and escapes.
Markman shoots for a takedown but Sear saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sear is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Markman shoots in for a double leg but Sear sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Sear tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Markman was well out of range. Poor timing from Sear.
Sear bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Markman's head backwards.
Markman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sear uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Markman.
Sear goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sear wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Vin Sear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sear looks to land a right hand but Markman moved out of range.
Sear throws a body punch but Markman moves out of range.
Markman shoots for a double leg takedown but Sear sprawls well. He's pushed Markman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sear is looking to chop away at Markman's legs.
Sear is looking to clinch but Markman is avoiding it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Markman.
Sear leaves Markman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Sear jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Markman ducks right into an uppercut from Sear.
Markman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sear tries to land a front kick but Markman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sear closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sear lands an elbow that stopped Markman in his tracks for a moment.
Markman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sear fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Markman dives in and grabs Sear's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sear pushes down on Markman's head and hops out.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sear tries to land knees in the clinch but Markman avoids the damage to the body.

Sear misses with an elbow over the top.
Markman is looking for a takedown.
Sear looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Sear misses with an elbow over the top.
Markman blocks an uppercut.
Sear pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Markman blocks an elbow strike from Sear.
Markman avoids a wild elbow strike from Sear.
Markman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sear tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sear creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Markman gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Markman winds up and cracks Sear with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Sear avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Markman.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Markman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sear's head.
Sear blocking the ground and pound attempt from Markman.
Sear knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Markman on the ground.

Markman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Markman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sear does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Markman lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Markman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vin Sear dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Rory Markman's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Sear throws a head kick that misses.
Sear clobbers Markman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Markman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Markman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sear wants to control but Markman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Markman is trying to control. Sear wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Markman seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Sear is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Markman scores with a couple of nice shots.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Markman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Markman lands a big shot there that rocks Sear but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Markman looking to control but Sear is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Sear tries to reverse the position but Markman maintains control.
Markman breaks from Sear's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Markman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sear is looking to escape.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Markman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sear taking shots to the head.


Sear is rocked!
Markman looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Sear covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rory Markman!
