The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalski moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Kowalski misses the target.
Howlett throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kowalski sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Howlett lands with a hook. Kowalski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kowalski drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Howlett is letting Kowalski control him for a moment.
Howlett tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

Howlett is looking to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Howlett has left one of his arms exposed and Kowalski doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Howlett screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
