Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jigoro Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soprano comes to the cage accompanied by Got Yourself a Gun . Kane has chosen Under a Killing Moon by Thrice as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Soprano!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jigoro Kane!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soprano lands a nice looking body shot.
Kane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kane misses with a hook. Soprano ducked under it nicely.
Soprano throws a head kick but Kane moves out of range.
Kane tries a head kick but it misses.
Kane takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That kick from Kane tenderised Soprano's leg. Soprano is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kane throws a hook but Soprano avoids it easily.
Kane takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kane blocks a head kick by Soprano.
Soprano is looking to chop away at Kane's legs.
Soprano throws an overhand right that lands on Kane's shoulder, as Kane tries to avoid the shot.
Kane looks to throw the jab but Soprano is out of range.
Soprano checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kane throws a low kick but Soprano avoids it.
Kane explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Soprano gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kane.
Soprano is looking to score with low kicks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soprano takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Soprano throws a low kick, looking for Kane's leg but Kane calmly moves out of range.
Soprano thows a left - swing and a miss!
Soprano throws a looping overhand right but Kane ducks down to avoid it.
Kane pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kane connects with a right hand. Soprano shakes it off.
Soprano is looking to land body kicks.
Soprano steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kane.
Kane throws a looping overhand right but Soprano ducks down to avoid it.
Some bone on bone action there as Soprano checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Soprano avoids the body shot from Kane.
A nice leg kick lands there from Soprano.
Soprano tries a head kick but it misses.
Soprano throws a head kick that misses.
Kane waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Soprano.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane with a body punch. A glancing blow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Soprano slips a jab from Kane.
Kane shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kane missing with a left hand there. Soprano was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Soprano throws a push kick but Kane slaps the foot to one side.
The fighters circling - Soprano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kane dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Soprano. That did some damage!
Kane is looking to slow Soprano down with leg kicks.
Kane is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Soprano fakes the leg kick and cracks Kane in the body.
Soprano on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kane tries to clinch up but Soprano circles away and keeps his distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kane darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kane. That's going to slow Soprano down.
Soprano bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kane's head backwards.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jigoro Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane takes a swing at Soprano's ribcage but misses.
Soprano scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Soprano connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Jigoro Kane has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kane. Soprano does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soprano throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Soprano was well out of range. Poor timing from Kane.
Kane misses with a straight right.
Soprano scores with a jab to the body.
Kane with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Soprano to score with a decent uppercut.
Kane avoids a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kane keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Soprano feints and then cracks Kane's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kane down.
A swing and a miss from Kane.
Jab by Kane.
A left lands for Soprano.
Kane throws a big shot that misses.
A jab from Soprano does it's job there.
Soprano lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kane misses with a straight left.
Soprano lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Soprano.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kane looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Soprano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kane takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Soprano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jigoro Kane will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jigoro Kane's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Soprano throws out a powerful jab.
Nice uppercut there from Soprano.


Kane is rocked!
A punch lands to the side of Kane 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kane is still on wobbly legs! Can Soprano finish him?
Kane takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kane looks up at the clock. Bad move! Soprano lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kane. Soprano pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Soprano!
Tony Soprano is the new light heavyweight champion!
Our winner, Tony Soprano, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
