Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Burl Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Burl Ives has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Burl Ives seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ortiz. Ives does a little dance to reset his feet.
A combination from Ortiz does no damage.
A combination from Ives does no damage.
Ives misses with an uppercut.
Ortiz fails to land with a series of punches.
Ortiz walks into a stiff left hand from Ives.
Ives throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ortiz counters with a one-two to the body.
Ortiz throws a body punch but Ives moves out of range.
Ortiz swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Ives counters with a right hand to the body.
Ives moves forwards but Ortiz connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ives tries a head kick but it misses.
Sloppy strikes from Ortiz. Those never looked like landing.
Ives throws a combination that misses
letting Ortiz counter with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ives misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ives throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ortiz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ives.
Ives tries to bum rush Ortiz with a series of wild strikes but Ortiz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Burl Ives seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ives throws a sloppy body shot
and Ortiz counters with a series of strikes. Ives will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ortiz cracks Ives with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Ives is breathing heavily.
Ortiz throws a shot from downtown. Ives moves away and avoids it.
A jab lands there for Ortiz.

Ives is rocked!
Ortiz lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Ives head around and knocks him out cold! Ortiz hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
