The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boets drives through and clinches with Lovell against the cage.
Lovell stops a takedown attempt from Boets.
Boets keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lovell's efforts to push away.
Lovell landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Lovell is trying to break the clinch but Boets has him pressed against the cage.
Lovell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lovell is trying to force a seperation but Boets has the dominant position.
Boets keeps control of Lovell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lovell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Boets is looking to take this one to the mat.

Lovell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lovell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lovell moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like Zaine Lovell has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lovell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boets, pushing him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boets is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimon Boets. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lovell is trying to break the clinch but Boets is controlling him.
Lovell stops a takedown attempt from Boets.

Boets turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lovell tries to buck Boets off but Boets is having none of it.
Lovell wants to control but Boets postures up.
Boets lands a few punches from side control.
Lovell takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Boets has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boets working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lovell tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Boets in side control lands a decent elbow.

Lovell is still in real trouble! Can Boets finish him?
Boets scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lovell is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Boets can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
