Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Death Before Dishonor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Gleiser!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dishonor lunges at Gleiser with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gleiser's hand.
Dishonor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gleiser was well out of range. Poor timing from Dishonor.
Gleiser looks to land a combination. Dishonor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Death Before Dishonor has been cut.
Dishonor throws a head kick but Gleiser moves out of range.
Dishonor connects with an inside leg kick.
Gleiser throws a right and a left that Dishonor avoids nicely.
Gleiser misses with a wild combination.
Death Before Dishonor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gleiser lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gleiser fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Gleiser. No joy for Dishonor on that attempt.

Dishonor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gleiser is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gleiser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dishonor tries to free his leg and advance position but Gleiser is retaining full guard.
Dishonor scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Dishonor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gleiser is looking for a triangle but Dishonor pushes his legs off easily.

Gleiser looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gleiser is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dishonor defends well.

Dishonor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dishonor trying to control the position from guard on top but Gleiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dishonor is really struggling to control Gleiser but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gleiser looking for a guillotine here but Dishonor defends easily.

Gleiser had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dishonor defends it easily.
Dishonor content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Gleiser working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dishonor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dishonor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dishonor postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dishonor wants to control from the top but Gleiser keeps moving.

Gleiser working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dishonor has passed into half guard!

Dishonor moves nicely into side control.
Gleiser wants to get back to his feet but Dishonor is dominant here and he's now got Gleiser's back!
Dishonor is looking to control Gleiser but Gleiser is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Dishonor is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Gleiser has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dishonor has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Gleiser taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dishonor doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Death Before Dishonor!
