The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pelzer blocks a head kick by Hulse.
Pelzer sizes up Hulse with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Pelzer avoids the head kick by Hulse.
Horrible takedown by Hulse or perhaps it was just good defense by Pelzer which made him look bad.
Pelzer misses with a series of wild punches.
Hulse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pelzer but Pelzer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pelzer throws a combination. Hulse tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pelzer slaps away a takedown attempt from Hulse, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salam Hulse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hulse tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pelzer jabs Hulse to the body, keeping him at a distance.

It looks like Salam Hulse has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pelzer lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Hulse can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Pelzer and Hulse drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Pelzer.
