The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taphorn tries to clinch but Lehner is having none of it.
Lehner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taphorn.

Taphorn throws a push kick but Lehner slaps the foot to one side.
Taphorn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lehner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Taphorn eats them both and turns towards Lehner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Robin Lehner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Taphorn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lehner tries to avoid it but Taphorn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lehner to the ground. Lehner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Taphorn will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lehner up against the cage.

Lehner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Taphorn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Taphorn throws a leg kick but Lehner sees it coming and moves out of range.
Taphorn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Taphorn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Taphorn tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lehner is able to avoid easily.

Lehner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Taphorn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Taphorn shoots in and drives through. Lehner sprawls well.
Taphorn tries to score with a low kick but Lehner moves his leg out of the way.

Taphorn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taphorn lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lehner can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taphorn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Peter Taphorn just wasn't active enough.

It looks like Robin Lehner has been cut.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Taphorn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lehner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Taphorn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Taphorn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
