Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bogie McGill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yushin Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bogie McGill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yushin Okami!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGill as he jumps to the side.

Okami feints and as McGill raises his hands in defense, Okami changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Okami stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McGill had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Okami is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McGill Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Okami's back instead.
Okami tries to break free.
McGill is breathing heavily.

Okami manages to reverse the position and now he's in McGill's guard. Nice work there by Okami.
Okami trying to control but McGill is working from the bottom.
Okami forces his way into half guard.
Okami wants to free his trapped foot but McGill is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Okami is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Okami is working for a kimura but McGill is defending it quite comfortably.

Okami is working for a submission of some sort.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McGill won't allow Okami to pass to mount.
McGill moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

McGill working for a triangle but Okami defends it easily.
Okami must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Okami drops back looking for a leg! McGill is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McGill manages to kick Okami off! Okami jumps back into McGill's guard.

McGill lands a decent punch to the body there.

Okami wants to control from the top but McGill keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Okami stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGill swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okami trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McGill shoots and misses

and Okami counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Okami is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yushin Okami dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

McGill fails with the takedown

Okami is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Okami passes McGill's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Okami is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGill is just riding it out for now. Okami eventually gives up the hold.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McGill regains full guard. Nicely done.

Okami tries to free his leg and advance position but McGill is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Okami looking to improve position, pressing down on McGill's thigh with his hand. McGill seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Okami paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Okami's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! McGill picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
