The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Johnson tenderised Gustafsson's leg. Gustafsson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Johnson tried to score with a low kick but Gustafsson checks it.
Johnson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gustafsson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Johnson scrambles back to his feet.
Johnson wants to land a leg kick but Gustafsson is out of range.
Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A head kick misses from Johnson.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gustafsson tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gustafsson to the ground. Gustafsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gustafsson throws a leg kick but Johnson sees it coming and moves out of range.
Johnson looks to land a body kick but Gustafsson moved away.
Gustafsson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Johnson is out of range.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Johnson wants to stand but Gustafsson has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gustafsson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Gustafsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab lands there for Gustafsson.

Gustafsson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Johnson eats them both and turns towards Gustafsson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Gustafsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gustafsson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Johnson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gustafsson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Johnson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gustafsson to score with a decent uppercut.
Johnson tries to score with a low kick but Gustafsson moves his leg out of the way.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Johnson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Gustafsson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Johnson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
