Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wily Swagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuro Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swagger's entrance music is Waylon Jennings - Good Ol' Boys. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sato manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Swagger on his heels. He'll look to pass Swagger's guard now, I'm sure.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sato is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Swagger is just riding it out for now. Sato eventually gives up the hold.

Wily Swagger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sato throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Swagger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sato is in Swagger's guard.

Swagger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sato gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sato chips away with some ground and pound.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Swagger holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sato is in close to Swagger's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Sato fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Swagger sprawls well initially but Sato persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Swagger wants to control but Sato is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Sato wants to pass to mount but Swagger is defending the position.

Swagger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Swagger is looking to improve his position but Sato isn't that keen on the idea.
Swagger flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Sato jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Swagger is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Swagger and Sato has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sato misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
