Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seth Wray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Rico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wray comes to the cage accompanied by The Leprechan Song. Johnny Rico has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seth Wray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Rico!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rico lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wray has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wray and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rico avoids the body shot from Wray.
Wray lands with an uppercut that bounces Rico off the cage and back into range.
Rico misses with a kick to the body.
Rico waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wray.
Donk. Wray catches Rico right on the button with a cross.
Rico will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wray lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rico backwards.

Rico breaks the clinch.

Wray rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rico counters with a two punch combo.
Wray misses with a straight left.
Johnny Rico is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good standup being displayed there by Wray as he connects with a hook.
Rico misses with a hook. Wray ducked under it nicely.
Rico throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wray stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wray throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Wray shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rico pinned against the cage. Rico gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wray drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.


It looks like Seth Wray has been cut.
Rico ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wray looks to clinch
and Rico counters with a nice body shot.
Rico uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wray.
Rico fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wray on the side of the head.

Rico feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wray sprawling to the canvas! Wray rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rico finish him?!


Wray is rocked!
Wray throws a head kick but Rico moves out of range.
Oh Wray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wray misses with a jab to the body
and Rico counters with a stiff right hand.
A cross from Wray lands.
A big right from Wray misses.
Nice defenses there by Rico.
Wray seems to have got his legs back now.
A combination from Rico does no damage.
Wray lands with a cross.

Wray throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wray scores with a jab to the body.
Nice shot lands for Wray.
Rico takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Wray shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rico sprawls well. Rico wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wray gets slowly back to his feet.

and Rico counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Wray thows a body shot but no joy.
Wray moves out of range as Rico strikes.
Rico lands a jab to Wray's midsection.
Rico throws the kick towards the body but Wray avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wray moves in looking to clinch but Rico pushes him off.
Wray throws the left hand but Rico avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Johnny Rico will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Wray throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rico counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rico ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wray moves away.
Wray takes a swing at Rico's ribcage but misses.
Johnny Rico seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wray throws a sloppy head kick and Rico moves out of range easily.
Rico uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wray.
Wray throws a jab when Rico was well out of range.
Rico throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Wray shoots in looking for a takedown but Rico manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wray's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wray smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rico misses with a low kick.
Rico moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Rico uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wray.

Rico stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rico wants it to stay on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rico misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rico fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wray on the side of the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wray seems to be working for a kimura but Rico defends the submission attempt.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rico can do anything to dispel that myth.

Seth Wray showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wray has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
