Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Kellerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Ferreria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kellerman comes to the cage accompanied by When Darkness Falls. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Felipe Ferreria!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kellerman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ferreria throws a head kick that misses.

Kellerman shoots in for a takedown but Ferreria shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ferreria is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kellerman defends well.

Kellerman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jakob Kellerman wasn't doing enough on the ground.

and Kellerman counters by clinching up.

Kellerman lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ferreria or not.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jakob Kellerman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ferreria tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kellerman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferreria somewhat.

Horrible takedown by Kellerman or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferreria which made him look bad.

and Kellerman counters with a head kick. That will keep Ferreria thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Kellerman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kellerman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ferreria drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kellerman pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ferreria swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kellerman gets the takedown into side control.
The referee asks Kellerman politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kellerman prefers to stall for the moment though.
Ferreria gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kellerman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Ferreria gets tackled into the cage by Kellerman. Kellerman maintains the clinch.
Kellerman lands a left hand.

Ferreria breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ferreria shoots for a double leg takedown but Kellerman sprawls well. He's pushed Ferreria's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ferreria throws a head kick but Kellerman moves out of range.
Ferreria tries to clinch up but Kellerman circles away and keeps his distance.
Ferreria lands a head kick. Kellerman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ferreria keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ferreria has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kellerman uses from the top position.
Ferreria takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kellerman wants to control from the top but Ferreria keeps moving.
Ferreria wants to improve his position but instead Kellerman has moved into half guard.

Ferreria reaches up to try and control the position but Kellerman seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Ferreria rolls and tries to escape and now Kellerman has his back!

Kellerman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ferreria for as long as he can get away with.
Kellerman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferreria on the ground.
Kellerman doesn't have the hooks in and Ferreria manages to turn into his guard.
Jakob Kellerman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kellerman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Ferreria drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kellerman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kellerman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kellerman!

Jakob Kellerman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ferreria pushes Kellerman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kellerman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ferreria slaps away a takedown attempt from Kellerman, before circling back to the center of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jakob Kellerman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kellerman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
