He only made it down to 206.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Presle tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Presle back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ludovic Presle has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Silva cracks Presle with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Presle looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Silva finish him?

Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Presle works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

and Silva counters with a body kick that stops Presle in his tracks momentarily.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Presle connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Presle drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

That has opened up Ludovic Presle's cut even more.

Glaube Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Presle is out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Silva.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Presle looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.

Presle misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Presle is just out of range.
Presle looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.
Presle takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The cut above Ludovic Presle's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Silva counters with a flying knee that drops Presle! Silva dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
