The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Davis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Davis.
Davis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Soderberg checks it well.
Davis throws a low kick, looking for Soderberg's leg but Soderberg calmly moves out of range.
Davis misses with a low kick.
Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Soderberg.
Davis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A big left from Davis misses.
Davis throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Soderberg sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Antonio Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soderberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Soderberg lands in his opponent's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Soderberg drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Davis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Soderberg has Davis in his guard.
