Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Neva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joonas Muikku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Muikku has chosen Ruudolf - Leijonakuningaslaulu as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Neva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joonas Muikku!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neva has his takedown stuffed
and Muikku counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Muikku misses with a jab, cross combination.
Muikku defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Neva.
Muikku keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikko Neva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Neva is defended easily by Muikku.
Neva walks into a jab.

Neva tries for a takedown but Muikku circles away easily
and Muikku counters with a thumping low kick.
Neva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muikku but Muikku pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Neva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Neva shoots in for a takedown but Muikku shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Muikku buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Neva.
Neva is breathing heavily.
Muikku keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Neva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Muikku tries to avoid it but Neva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Muikku to the ground. Muikku escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Muikku throws a sloppy head kick and Neva moves out of range easily.

Muikku lands a left and a right that send Neva crashing to the mat, dazed. Muikku thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Neva is rocked!

It looks like Mikko Neva has been cut.

Muikku drops Neva with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Neva! Muikku dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

An out of breath Joonas Muikku thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
