Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Shouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joshua Shouse is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Pepper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Shouse !
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shouse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pepper sprawls well. Pepper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shouse gets slowly back to his feet.

Shouse looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pepper makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Pepper scores with a hook.
Pepper keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shouse .
Pepper lands a glancing blow to the side of Shouse 's head.
Pepper stuns Shouse with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pepper.
Shouse wants to clinch up but Pepper keeps it at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Shouse on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Shouse shoots in and bounces Pepper off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Shouse wants to control from the top but Pepper keeps moving.

Shouse pushing down on Pepper's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Shouse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pepper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shouse wants to control but Pepper is keeping him busy.
Shouse is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Pepper is looking to escape.
Shouse trying to control from Pepper's half guard. Pepper has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Pepper wants to stand but Shouse is controlling the position.

Shouse looking to sit in guard and control but Pepper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pepper has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shouse is proving hard to escape from.
Pepper wants to stand and escape but instead Shouse has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Pepper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shouse won't allow Pepper to get back to his feet.

Pepper is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Pepper wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shouse has him pressed against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Shouse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peter Pepper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Shouse , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shouse fails with a takedown attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pepper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shouse pinned against the cage. Shouse gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shouse throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pepper's waist but Pepper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shouse off to one side.
Peter Pepper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Shouse .
Pepper tries to clinch up but Shouse circles away and keeps his distance.
Pepper lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Pepper lands a slapping body shot.
Pepper digs a good hook to Shouse 's body.

No joy there for Shouse , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pepper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pepper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pepper catches Shouse with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A jab from Pepper finds it's way through Shouse 's defenses.

Pepper bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


Shouse is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pepper dives in and grabs Shouse 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shouse pushes down on Pepper's head and hops out.
Horrible takedown by Shouse or perhaps it was just good defense by Pepper which made him look bad.
Shouse looks gassed!
Shouse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pepper as he jumps to the side.
Pepper looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pepper moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Shouse tries to clinch but Pepper moves out of range.
Shouse tries to clinch up but Pepper circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A combination from Shouse does no damage.
Shouse wants to clinch.

Oooh a lovely combination from Pepper sends Shouse down but not out. Pepper dives into side control looking to finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Pepper dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Shouse shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pepper manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Pepper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pepper is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shouse is controlling him.

Pepper pushes Shouse off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Shouse fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pepper sprawls well initially but Shouse persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pepper wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pepper manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Pepper wants to stand and escape but Shouse is having none of it.

Shouse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pepper swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shouse tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Pepper has one foot on Shouse 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Pepper tries a head kick but it misses.
Pepper tries for a takedown but Shouse sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pepper leaves Shouse with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pepper is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pepper scores with a sloppy right hand. Shouse should have avoided that one.
Pepper throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shouse .

Pepper is working an open guard so Shouse takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shouse shoots in looking for a takedown. Pepper tries to sprawl out of it but Shouse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pepper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Shouse takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Pepper will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pepper has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shouse uses from the top position.

Pepper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shouse tries to avoid it but Pepper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shouse to the ground. Shouse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shouse shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pepper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shouse keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pepper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
