The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finyard throws an ugly left hook that misses

and King moves into the clinch.
King lands a shoulder strike.
Finyard misses with a hook to the ribs.

Finyard gets a trip takedown into half guard.
King has hold of Finyard's hands but Finyard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Finyard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King wants to improve his position but Finyard is controlling well.
King is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
King is looking to get to half guard.

Finyard breaks from King's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Finyard lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Finyard has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.
Finyard trying to control but he's not successful this time.
