Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Slyker's choice of entrance music: It's Amazing by Kanye West. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Slyker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finch closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Slyker quickly recovers to half guard.
Finch is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Finch looking to sit in guard and control but Slyker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Finch looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slyker is one step ahead there.
Slyker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Finch works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Finch has Slyker pulled in close to control his posture.
Slyker throws a strike but Finch rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Finch decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Slyker, up you get!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Slyker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Finch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Slyker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Slyker lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Finch has taken the fight to the clinch.

Finch fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slyker to the ground. Finch is now in Slyker's guard.
Slyker wants to stand up but Finch is controlling him.

Finch bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slyker's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Finch is working Slyker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Finch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slyker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Finch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Slyker is fending him off so far but Finch persists. Nope, Slyker circles away and we're back to standing.

and Finch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slyker won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Finch looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Slyker parries the strikes from Finch easily there. Finch is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slyker to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Finch laying and praying for a moment but Slyker takes advantage and regains half guard.
Finch passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Slyker!

Finch sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Finch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Slyker looks a forlorn figure.
Finch scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Finch misses with some ground and pound and Slyker recovers position to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Finch wants to take a breather but Slyker is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kenny Finch showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Finch has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
