Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timo Yo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yo comes into the arena with Yö - Likaiset Legendat blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Yo throws a combination that misses
and Benton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Benton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yo moves away.
Yo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Benton.
Yo throws out a powerful jab.
Benton defending well as Yo loads up on a big left hand.
Yo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Benton ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Yo cracks a nice hook into Benton's ribs.
Yo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Yo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Yo rushes Benton and presses him up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benton tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Yo breaks from the clinch.
Yo cracks Benton with an open hand slap.
Yo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Benton circles away quickly and effectively.

Yo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Yo scores a takedown into full mount!
Benton avoids a series of strikes thrown by Yo.

Yo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Yo throwing strikes but Benton uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Yo thows a huge punch but Benton dodges it nicely.
Yo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Benton is not content to let Yo control the position.
Yo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Benton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Benton is trying to stand.
Benton is refusing to be controlled, as Yo sits in half guard.
Yo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Yo throwing shots but Benton is blocking nicely.
Yo uses his free foot to push down on Benton's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Benton.
Yo controlling the position easily from mount.
Yo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Yo is landing with some decent strikes but Benton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Yo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Yo lands a big shot there that rocks Benton but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Benton is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Benton is still in real trouble! Can Yo finish him?
Yo content just to control the position here.
Benton takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Benton takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Yo's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

A very excited looking Timo Yo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
