Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes shoots in and drives through. Scrooge sprawls well.
Gomes throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Scrooge tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gomes is in Scrooge's guard.
Gomes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scrooge has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gomes has managed to get both his arms back between Scrooge's legs - danger averted.
Scrooge wants to sweep here but Gomes controlling him for the moment.
Gomes trying to control but Scrooge is working from the bottom.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scrooge is trying to keep Gomes in close.
Gomes trying to control the position from guard on top but Scrooge is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gomes is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Scrooge has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gomes is looking to defend but Scrooge has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gomes! Scrooge pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gomes taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ebenezer Scrooge!
