Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Negreanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barney Phife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Phife's choice of entrance music: Hello Zepp - Charlie Clouser. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phife swings widly with a right hand
and Negreanu counters with a nice kick to the body.
Phife rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Phife is countered with a crisp right hand from Negreanu that sends him to the canvas! Negreanu follows him to the mat into side control.

Phife is rocked!

It looks like Barney Phife has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Negreanu lands a strong strike to the head of Phife. That's dazed him! Negreanu looking to finish here. Phife is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Negreanu lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

After the fight, Daniel Negreanu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
