The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matae keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Matae misses with a leg kick.
Myton wants to slow Matae down by chopping away at his legs.
Matae throws out a loose jab but Myton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Myton misses with a jab, cross combination.
Matae scores with a hook.
Matae doesn't manage to clinch there - Myton circles away.
Matae checks a leg kick nicely.
Matae moves in looking to clinch but Myton pushes him off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Myton. Matae does a little dance to reset his feet.
Matae throws a jab when Myton was well out of range.
Myton throws the kick towards the body but Matae avoids it.
Myton on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Matae. Matae obviously looking to wear him down.
Matae lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Myton circles away quickly and effectively.
Matae tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Myton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Myton lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Yokida Matae has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Matae misses the shot to the body.

Myton throws a leg kick but Matae moved away.
Myton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Matae.

It looks like Cedric Myton has been cut.
Yokida Matae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Myton uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Myton circles away from the clinch attempt.
Myton throws the left hand but Matae avoids the punch easily.
Matae throws a half hearted mid kick.
Myton throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Matae displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Myton throws out the jab.
Myton digs a good hook to Matae's body.
Matae fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Myton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Matae connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Matae has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Matae there as he acknowledges the shot.

Yokida Matae's cut is getting worse.
Matae throws a chopping leg kick but Myton manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Myton connects with a body shot that sends Matae's belly button to the back.

Myton drops Matae with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Matae looks back up at him and smiles so Myton waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Myton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Matae walks straight into a right hand from Myton - that's dropped him! Myton jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Matae from any more punishment! Matae complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Cedric Myton decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
