Klason kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is (Hed) Pe - Raise Hell. Akiyama comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Akiyama Theme Song (This Is My Life - Edward Maya) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klason drops Akiyama with a nice combination! Klason dives into Akiyama's guard, looking to finish!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Klason escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Akiyama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Klason is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akiyama.

Akiyama connects with a leg kick. Klason looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Akiyama lands a big head kick that sends Klason tumbling to the mat! Akiyama takes a step backwards and waves Klason back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Kenji Akiyama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Akiyama lets loose with a powerful body kick. Klason will feel that in the morning.

The fighters circle momentarily. Akiyama darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
and Akiyama counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Klason! He's just covering up as Akiyama starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

A relieved looking Kenji Akiyama thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
