PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins comes to the cage accompanied by Fuck like a Beast. Murray has chosen KO muzik as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ken Jenkins has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Murray!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Murray's waist but Murray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jenkins off to one side.
Murray cracks Jenkins with an open hand slap.


It looks like Ken Jenkins has been cut.
No luck for Jenkins with that takedown attempt.
Jenkins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Murray connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jenkins scrambles back to his feet.
Murray slaps away a takedown attempt from Jenkins, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Murray lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Jenkins drives through with a takedown into Murray's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lee Murray wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Murray is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Murray circles away and we're back to standing.
A slow jab from Murray misses its intended target.
Jenkins blocks a jab.
Lee Murray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Murray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Murray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jenkins.
A decent looking cross lands there for Murray.
Murray dips to his left and cracks Jenkins with an uppercut!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Murray throws a right hand that Jenkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Jenkins also avoids with ease.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.
Murray doesn't manage to clinch there - Jenkins circles away.
Jenkins throws a shot from downtown. Murray moves away and avoids it.
Jenkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murray avoids it really well and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins ducks under a wild hook from Murray.
Ken Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Murray looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Murray jabs Jenkins to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Murray fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jenkins looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A jab from Murray does it's job there.
Murray stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Murray drops Jenkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jenkins looks back up at him and smiles so Murray waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Jenkins is rocked!

Murray sends Jenkins crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Murray is motioning to the referee to let Jenkins up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Jenkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murray batters Jenkins with a massive right followed by a huge left! Jenkins is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Murray lands a final crushing right hand to drop Jenkins to the mat with a gruesome thud! Murray is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lee Murray!
Lee Murray seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
