The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash connects with a looping right hand.
A head kick misses from Jardine.
Nash fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nash throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Kieth Jardine has been cut.

Nash shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jardine is refusing to be controlled, as Nash sits in half guard.
Nash trying to control from Jardine's half guard. Jardine has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Nash trying to control but Jardine is working from the bottom.
Nash working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nash is looking to work some ground and pound but Jardine has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nash controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nash trying to control but Jardine is working from the bottom.

Jardine trying to control the position.
Nash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jardine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nash on the ground.
Nash sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jardine drops his hands momentarily and Nash takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jardine bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nash throws an overhand right that lands on Jardine's shoulder, as Jardine tries to avoid the shot.
Jardine throws a series of strikes that have Nash backpedaling.

It looks like Brutus Nash has been cut.
Jardine fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nash loads up on a big right hand but Jardine slips the punch.
Nash throws a lazy uppercut

and Jardine counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nash won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nash manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jardine's best efforts.

Nash is looking to control Jardine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nash avoid being mounted?
Nash is pressing down on Jardine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Nash is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jardine frees his head nicely. Oh but Nash has switched to an armbar! Jardine is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
