Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwighd Shrude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brian Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shrude swings widly with a right hand
and Murphy counters with a head kick. That will keep Shrude thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Shrude lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Brian Murphy has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Murphy throws a head kick but Shrude moves out of range.
Murphy blocks a jab.
Shrude tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murphy was well out of range. Poor timing from Shrude.
Shrude tries to close the distance and clinch but Murphy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shrude misses with a wild combination.
Shrude swings widly with a right hand
and Murphy counters with a good low kick that Shrude was not able to check.
A shot to the body from Shrude misses
and Murphy counters with a nice kick to the body.
Shrude swings widly with a right hand
and Murphy counters with a low kick, right behind Shrude 's knee.

Shrude moves into the clinch.
Shrude misses with a hook from the clinch.

Shrude tries to throw a body punch but Murphy avoids it by throwing Shrude back against the cage.
Murphy wants to get back to striking at distance but Shrude won't allow it.

Murphy breaks from the clinch.
Shrude misses the jab.
Shrude swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Murphy counters with a nice leg kick.
Shrude throws an overhand right that lands on Murphy's shoulder, as Murphy tries to avoid the shot.
Shrude swings away with a body shot that misses
and Shrude takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shrude misses with a shot to the body
and Murphy counters with a nice body kick.
Shrude is breathing heavily.
Shrude tries to clinch up
and Murphy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Murphy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Shrude moves in looking to clinch but Murphy pushes him off.
Shrude misses with a few strikes there.

Murphy lands a big head kick that sends Shrude tumbling to the mat! Murphy takes a step backwards and waves Shrude back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Shrude is rocked!

It looks like Dwighd Shrude has been cut.
Shrude is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Murphy.
Murphy and Shrude are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Murphy throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Shrude into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Murphy knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
